As a Professional Inspector, many of my clients have expressed how simple and easy to understand my inspection reports are because of the color coding system I use. BLUE represents comments and general informaion. RED indicating items that are "in need of repair". In Texas, Real Estate inspections reports are governed by the Texas Real Estate Commission to ensure the public all have a basic report that is similar to all other inspection reports. However the individual inspector has great flexibility in modifying the report to be more user friendly. One of the pledges I make to Real Estate clients to provide the best communication possible, and to never consider myself finished until I have answered ALL questions and the client indicates he/she completely understands the condition of the property. My home inspection business is driven by referrals from previous Real Estate clients, and from Realtors that have included my company in their "Preferred Inspector" list for their office.
